The Free Speech Movement: Coming of Age in the 1960s
Published in Hardcover by Ten Speed Press (October, 1993)
Average review score:

Free Speech Movement..An inspiring and fun account of what happens when institutions loses touch with their goals. A first hand account of the events of 64 from one who lived through it. Much better than most of the heady intellectual analysis already in print. This is all you need to know on the subject.

The Herb Guide
Published in Paperback by Black Dog & Leventhal Pub (01 April, 2001)
Average review score:

I liked it so much I bought 3 more as Christmas presents! The pictures are clear, simply and elegantly drawn and the descriptions read with ease. If you can only get one herb book (says the herbalist with over 45 herb-related texts) this would be the one to get. This is an incredibly well done book. The information is concise, interesting and mandatory reading for cooks, gardeners, herbalists, naturalists ... well, I could go on and on about who should read this.

Manual of Clinical Problems in Infectious Disease
Published in Spiral-bound by Lippincott Williams & Wilkins Publishers (15 May, 1999)
Average review score:

excellenta pocket book that has almost all you need to know. it's concise, giving you just the information you need. Updated from the latest reviews published in journals. If you are not satisfied with the information given in the book, or you think it's not enough, you can still read A TEXTBOOK OF INFECTIOUS DISEASES. remember this book (the same as all pocket books) is best to be used during rounds, or to have a quick reference of a certain subject. You won't be dissapointed.

Excellent study toolAfter spending huge number of hours in training and reading for medical boards this tool gives you an excellent overview of your reasoning skills and knowledge. It can be used by anyone studying any aspect of medicine as well as a fun review for practitioners who can use it like a puzzle challange. It quickly shows areas of strength and weakness and can order your further study plan. This is a book that is a must for anyone taking exams and anyone testing their self knowledge.

Professors Are from Mars Students Are from Snickers
Published in Paperback by Magna Pub (December, 1999)
Average review score:

Professorly Humor How-To BookFor the new professors who want to improve their teachingskills, this is The Book. It is actually an academic review of the useof humor in the classroom, but it's so funny the information sticks. I've used many of the ideas in the last year with great effect. It completely changed how my students and I interact. Every new prof (and a lot of "old" ones I recall) should use "Professors are from Mars and Students are from Snickers." I have learned the most from it of any text on teaching. Thank you Professor Berk!

Scaffolding Children's Learning: Vygotsky and Early Childhood Education (Naeyc Research into Practice Series, V. 7)
Published in Paperback by National Association for the Education (July, 1995)
Average review score:

Excallent Interperation of Vygotsky's WorkI was fascinated by the information presented in this book, especially with the insight into children with serious learning and behavior problems. It gave me information that I was able to use with children I was working with who displayed the difficulties described in the book. What a tremendous help!

Ultimate Prom Guide
Published in Library Binding by Bt Bound (October, 1999)
Average review score:

Really helpful--really fun!I was dazed and condused by all the prom magazines out there. This book had everything I needed to know--dresses, makeup tips, hair styles. And I used it as a journal to jot down my ideas and budget. I highly recommend it to anyone who is in pre-prom stress mode.

Stages
Published in Paperback by NVU Editions/Team Power Publishing (December, 2002)
Average review score:

...a MUST HAVE for all Britney fans...I really cannot describe what an enjoyable book this is. It is very well done and interesting with fabulous personal pictures of Britney. What is better, though, is the DVD that comes with it (inside the book cover) titled "3 Days in Mexico". Basically, Britney had a camera follow her around for 3 days while she lived her life (she never acknowledges the camera) and the viewer is able to see her sleep, put makeup on, talk to her friends, eat, etc...I adored the DVD and found Brit to be much more down to earth than she appears. I STRONGLY recommend this book/DVD set to anyone even SLIGHTLY interested in britney, and for her hardcore fans (like me): BUY THIS ASAP, it is AWESOME!! By the way, inside the book, you also receive a full size poster thats very cute. Bottom line= an interesting, personal peek into her life that is WELL worth the...
Sheryl Berk shows us the real Britney...This book and DVD are just... Amazing. It hard to explain, but when you read the book, you get this feeling of solitude and sadness for Britney. But that feeling only comes harder with the DVD, which is what tops this documentary off. She is followed through her time in Mexico, while there, she's asked personal questions, and is told to do strange things by the media. Then a stage disaster devastates her final show, and she has to make a decision between continuing the show, or calling it quits, seeing as she could be risking her physical safety.
This book is visually amazing, the layout is beautiful, and it comes off as the view off Britney from he media (or Britney in a picture).
But when you watch the DVD, which gives you a complete look at her everyday life, takes away that sunny image, and replaces it with a world where Britney has over worked herself, and is tired. But she still keeps her smile. If you want a front seat look at what real fame is, you will love Stages...
A Look Into The Life Of Britney SpearsThis book is a wonderful addition for any Britney fan to add to their collection. With tons of pictures collected from her world tour and many more that were taken in between during photo shoots and down time, this is an excellant book that many people will cherish for a long time. Rarely has an artist opened up and shared so much of herself personally like Britney has in Stages; an intimate look at the last three days she spent in Mexico City on the Dream Within A Dream Tour. Britney writes in this book as though she were writing in a journal; a collection of private and sincere thoughts for only the eyes of the people she loves and trusts the most - her fans. No media, no rumors, this is Britney opening up about everything. Not too many artists would do such a beautiful thing. Accompanying this book is a cute black and white poster and a documentary style DVD. The DVD gives you a behind the scenes look at what went on and what goes on before, during and after her concerts; including the infamous concert where she was reportedly booed offstage after singing five songs and leaving. The DVD tells and shows all. It's alot of fun watching this if you're a major Britney fan. Watching her live such a normal life in front of so many cameras makes you both feel sympathetic and inspired. In one scene Britney breaks down in tears and you don't know if you wanna hug her to make her stop crying or smile knowing that she's such a kind hearted person who hasn't lost touch with what's important. Whether you're a fan of Britney or not, I think everyone will love something about this book. It's not really a book so much as a collection and one of the many stages in Britney's life that reminds us all why she's still on top.
